I have spent three years of my life here at IIT Kharagpur being involved in many academic and extra academic activities. From studying to singing to dancing to playing, you name it and I have done it. As most of the students who enter the field of engineering I got attracted to robotics and gave it a try three years back. Since then I persue it as a hobby. I've been involved in societies involved in robotics, and even done research project in the same field. I am also interested in Image processing. I've worked a bit on computer vision. I also love coding, singing and playing table tennis, apart from the regular mugging.

B.Tech.(Hons) Computer Science and Engineering• Kharagpur, India
I am privileged to be a student of one of the most prestigious institutes in the country. As most of the higher secondary studnet in India I crammed day and night to crack the Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) and got an admission here as a student of The Mechanical Engineering Department. But in my first year due to my excellent academic performemce I was given an opportunity of change my branch and I chose to persue my further studies in the field of computer science.
AISSCE(Class 12) - CBSE • Allahabad, India
Maharshi Patanjali taught a lot in the two years of my study here. It was an awesome experience. Before getting in here I was in a completely different study environment but once I was here I was quite comfortable. Teachers here are very loving and caring. I represented the school in CBSE Science Exhibition in both regional and national level and was praised for the same. I was also the school topper for the Class 12 board examinaton.
SLC(Class 10) - Ministry of Education of Sports, Govt. of Nepal • Palpa, Nepal
This is where I learnt how to read and write. In a small town in Nepal this school took me as a child and shaped me to whatever I am today. I learnt how not to cry but to try instead. It's where I got my values and ethics from. I spent a long time here and completed my secondary schooling from here.

I completed my third year compulsory summer intership at Amazon.com, India Development Centre, Bangalore. There I worked with the FC Space Management Team under the guidance of my mentor Uddipta Maity. In the two months internship period I worked with Java, jsp and javascript codebases writing services to collect and display efficiency metrics at FCs. The services I wrote and deployed and was consumed by the company. It was my first exposure to software industry and I completely loved it.
MSRIT Bangalore • December 2013
Due to my interest in image processing I landed up to this program which was a 2 weeks winter school organized my CMU(Carnegie Mellon University) and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology at Bangalore. I worked on a project involving image processing and machine learning for computer vision based crime control in ATM booths under the guidance of Prof. S. Sethu Selvi, Prof. Rita Singh and Prof Bhiksha Raj. We analized the variance in motion vectors in the cctv video feed to detect abrupt movements and violence. We also detected masked and disguised faces.
IAS Summer Research Fellow • May 2013 - July 2013
When you love robotics and you have two months of free time during summer you always look for opportunities like this. I was selected as a Summer Research Fellow by the Indian Academy of Sciences(IAS) and was sent to the Robotics and Automation lab of CMERI Durgapur. There I worked under Senior Scientist Dr. Soumen Sen in a project titled "Effective tracking of moving ball using robotic arm and computer vision." I integrated a webcam to the Barret WAM Arm so that it could follow a moving ball. The video for the same can be found here. The application can be further manipulated to catch or hit a flying object.
Software Team Member • August 2012 - December 2013
Team AGV was formed with a vision of developing the first driverless car in India. Under the guidance of Prof. Debashish Chakravarty, it is a group of robotics enthusiasts who prefer devoting their free time to constructive research and application that to play counter strike over LAN. I worked in a small prototype of ground vehicle, Eklavya-2.0, whose main features are state estimation using GPS and IMU, PID Control, data integration and inter-process communication. It was showcased in IGVC-2013 held at Oakland University, Michigan and stood 9th among 46 teams from all around the globe. My personal contributions were towards Lane Detection(image processing), data fusion of camera and lidar, modulation using ROS
In my due course of study of computer science and working in various academic and non-academic projects I've aquired the followig skill-set.
